New Magpie Thread!!!!

My drake is good sized. We have wild mallards that visit our pond. They get pretty big. My drake is as big as they are. My hens are smaller.
We enjoy the ducks. They are quite entertaining and noisier than our chickens...messier than the chickens too. Our ducks are nearly a year old now. They discovered our pond this spring. It's fun to watch them learn new things. They started by just playing around the edges. Now they swim all over it and dive.
The girls lay an egg every day. I know they are fertile, but we just eat them. I think I might let them hatch some, if one of the girls gets broody.

Magpies should be bigger than mallards.

Anyone have more pictures to share? :)

I'm also in western Washington and I raise Magpies for showing. Was happy to see some nice ducklings hatch this year.

Has anyone gotten them from Welp before?
I have not. I am looking to add some new genes into my stock. So if you do order let us know. I'm curious to see how the quality of their stock is. The one time that I did order, I got eggs from someone and I sold everything that hatched because they all had way to much color for my breeding group...They ended up looking more like Swedish then Magpies.
