Pix of my chicken house and their run

Those are Plymouth White Rocks...the king of breeds. They are so clean because their feather quality seems to just shed dirt...they have the softest, silkiest feathering of any breed I've ever touched in my life..and that's saying a lot. Their feathers are much like silk...light, soft, strong and resistant to soiling. I was just given a rooster from one of the most important WR bloodlines here in the US, or so I'm told, and I have two pullets from the next one removed, so I'm going to start breeding the two strains and move to just keeping WRs and also some Khaki Campbell ducks(that's an experiment in the breed to see if they will work out) for laying.
ah ha no wonder they look fluffy and like clouds. SOOOO pretty and good luck with your breeding!!!

Did you see the new roo yet? Here's a few pics of him..he's a little bloody and tired from the shipping and the fighting with the resident flock master... You can't see it here, but in the sunlight his feathers glisten and sparkle with light reflecting off them. He's so very soft it's hard to not want to stroke him when I have my hands on him!

OH I BET IT IS hard not to stroke him. He's a beaut for sure!! I KNOW you are VERY happy with this one!!!

I have a couple mix ones I do believe. Well I KNOW they're mixed RIR/BA but I think both of them are roos but am curious to see what they turn out to look like. Was going to eat them but don't know..... hee hee....... curious to see what they'll look like.

LOVE your roo Bee. Soooo pretty!

awe look at my chicks. They were soooo young in this pic. Man time flies and it sure doesn't feel like it's been almost 5 years since I got them. I really do need to get me some more chicks started.
