There are tons of you who have amazing looking birds that arent pure breeds. I have a few.

What this thread is for, is for you to post about your amazing looking chicken that YOU created. It can be from the same breed, but you've just mixed different colors.

For example, today I saw a thread posted by MissPrissy about her roo, Big Red. Now, if I'm correct, Big Red was produced by taking a Blue Orpington cockeral and crossing him with a Buff Orpington hen, thus creating the red gene.
^ I tell ya, I'm going to find myself a Blue Orpington cockeral because Big Red is a beauty and now I am jealous of you MissPrissy... JEALOUS

Take that as a hint BYC'ers... I want a Blue Orp boy, know where I could find one???? Huh?

I know there are also plenty of BYC'ers who have liked what they've seen in other peoples mixed chickens.

So this is a genetics page.
Post a pic of your finest chicken creation, and how us BYC'ers can make one!

Example:

Pic Here

Name of chicken. Ex: Duke

Sex of Chicken. Ex: Cockeral

Description of its size and coloring. Ex: Large chicken, redish coloring

How you've created it. Ex: Made by breeding a RIR Cockeral to a Speckled Sussex hen.

I think this will be neat!

Name: Tang
Sex: Rooster
Description: Bantam size with half of his body covered in smooth feathers and half covered in frizzle feathers.
How he was created: Mom was a Quail Antwerp Belgian and dad was a black frizzle

I see pics of two roos with the name Tang in the middle. Which one is Tang... those two pics cannot be the same roo.

Name: Dee Ell Dubya
Sex: Rooster
Description: He is a first generation cross of a dun wyandotte hen with a silver laced wyandotte hen, the pattern is basically what you get when you cross a laced rooster with solid hen. Also in the pic there is a blue sumatra bantam rooster, black wyandotte bantam rooster, and dun wyandotte rooster bantam, this was in the spring.

Wanted to comment on Tang, he is awesome, I would love to have something like that, it would be cool to duplicate the half frizzling, I read somewhere about that kind of thing on a genetics website.

(they look just like the Lt Brahmas, but have golden highlights in their hackle feathers and saddle. Less leg feathering, but still beautiful birds)
