Not Sure if the chick is dead inside the egg. Sorry, incubating newbie

I always keep my temperature at 98.5 deg. f. , and I pour a little water in the incubator every few days to keep the temperature up. I use a still air incubator and hand turn my eggs twice daily. I have always had at least a few chicks/ducks hatch, so maybe you guys are doing something different... ?

HELP! My chick is pipped a tiny hole, but it cheeps VERY quietly! Is it sick?? He started pipping yesterday, I didn't KNOW he was pipping because I candled it and I saw a broken air sac, then I saw a Crack in the shell so I put it back inside the incubator, Then my mom turned him because she didn't know he was pipping, Will he die??!
