I'm still wondering about the one at the bottom of the photo (standing next to the waterer).

She isn't crowing...but isn't laying.

Re-homed our other guy when he started crowing last week, confirming our suspicions.

Still holding out on Marilyn. : )

Can Wyandottes have straight tail feathers in hens? My Sex Links do...hmmm.

The tail feathers are straight but they're rounded on the edges for hens and more pointed in roosters. Send another picture of Marilyn now. It would help compare growth but I'm gonna have to stick with my original statement. Those birds are both Roos

This is both of mine, they where sold to me as girls, but couldnt promise nothing, I think I have 2 boys

I have 8 young Wyandottes. One looks like Marilyn and Raquel. He has a comb and waddles and also the saddle feathers. Yesterday I watched as he chased the girls around the pen. He is even trying to crow. I bought them in early april as small chicks. I vote that Marilyn and Raquel are roosters. Chicken lover in Michigan

I am new to this group I had a question about one of my Wyandotte chickens. As soon as I saw the pics of Marilyn and Raquel I knew that my suspected rooster Is a rooster. But I thought that roosters had spurs. This chicken has not grown any spurs . When does spur growth happen if at all? Thanks!
