Connie, I just came across this thread. Fantastic pics as always. You've got a real gift here! I'm sure glad you manage our club website, what would we do without you? I'm always excited to see the new pictures you present of the breed. I don't think professionals produce pictures better than these. :)

yes connie is a wonderful lady i saw her pics of flock very nice cant wait for spring...so glad i came across her website ...stupid question if a rooster bred another breed of chicken would you have to wait to breed same type of chicken like a dog i think six months
 
general rule of thumb is that it takes two weeks for the sperm to no longer present itself in the offspring. However, I have had a cockbirds sperm last for up to a whole month before......
