Just something for fun, I have been combing around looking at different breeds to see if I can guess the mix...I figured Ameracauna is the strong gene due to the egg coloring. My hens, I have thought they were Ameracauna mix, but my Roo has an odd colored tale and this years hatch I ended up with a speckled chick, where'd that come from? ;) All of my chickens are related (minus the 2 hamburg chicks I have ;) ) to eachother! Im thinking Welsummer/Ameracauna or EE mix, they lay blue/green eggs, one lays more blue color the other more green color

Hen 1

Hen 2 My 2 chicks and their momma Hen 2 The speckled chick My roo...I have no clue, I "possibly" thought Aloha or Swedish, but he is a big hefty boy with some odd/pretty colors and check out that comb...maybe New Hampshire cross barred? another view

Your rooster looks like he maybe Buff Orpington and Barred Rock Cross. Your hen since she lays a green/blue egg is most likely an Easter Egger/Ameruacana crossed with a Welsummer (she has the color of a Welsummer anyway).

He's someone's attempt to make a Red Crele Orpington. Maybe a project bird, maybe just hatchery attempt at it.

So after looking some more, Im thinking the rooster could be Rhodebar cross....he is related to my hens and they were layed by my moms one hen who also looks welsummer cross with blue green eggs, and one rooster who is a smaller red/black/copper version of mine. She got them from a neighbor, so who knows the true lines of course ;) All for fun :)

Draye-there are 2 hens pictured ;)

Pele-no hatchery, just good old farm stock mixed breeds
