Desperate times call for desperate measures.
I recently acquired a friend for my lonely hen. My hen Chippy does not enjoy sharing, especially with newcomers. Chippy laid her egg, and decided to sit there like a brat.
Miriam: "Hey, any chance you have any room for a second?"
Chippy: "No. -_-"
I showed Miriam the new "deluxe" nesting box on the second level.
It was good enough for Miriam! This weekend I need to buy/make a new, real nest box.
I cut a Bud Light case in half, and reinforced it with Gorilla Tape. It was a little small for her, but would be like a palace for bantams to lay in.
