Rooster or Hen

Can Simone tells me if we have hens or Roos. The red one is a red ranger and the other Other is a dark bahram. Newbie with chickens and can only have four hens. Would also like to know what everyone thinks is a good chicken layer. We are from Green Bay wi so a hen that can handle the heat and cold of course

That is not a dark brahma. And without age I am guessing both cockerels. More info and better pics will help. If you are looking for strictly layers red sex links/black sex links are great layers

Is it possible the white and black one could just be a very badly colored hatchery Light Brahma? It would help if we had full body pics of it showing legs and all over body conformation and color.

Not sure how this site works yet but We have one
Red rangers, one Dark brahma, and two Cochin bantams
Born July 19 2014. We purchased them from a private
party and she was unsure that she gave us all hens but
did her best to pick them out. The white one I have posted
she said is a dark Brahma and I believe she is mixed with
something she only had Red rangers, brahmas and Cochin
bantams but she has feathers On her feet. I can only have
Four hens were I live and this is heart breaking That I will have
to give one or even more back to her.
Being new at all this how do I introduce new birds to our
group of girls. I read adding new ones increases your chance
of mites and pecking. Also how will I know if my bantams are
Roos they are so small I will try to post pictures of my ranger and
Bantams later so Stressed with all this ugh help

Hello again - I do hope you can post your pictures soon so that we can see yoru birds and hopefully lessen the stress you seem to be under.

These are all about 10-11 weeks old. I thought I would be able to tell the difference between a cockerel and pullet by this time but I guess I am not very good at telling the difference. Here's my guesses:

Top a Roo, bottom a pullet

Pullet

Roo

Pullet

Roo

Roo
We started off with quite a few more but either a disease or the summer heat killed off over half of what we started with. We're trying to decide if we need to add more hens if most of these turn out to be Roos. Thanks for the help.
Can anyone tell me if my guesses were correct or are the pictures not close enough?
