Mealworms - Page 4

I've noticed anymore than 3 handfuls of mealworms per chicken, they have very soft and runny stool. Also, my husband has started raising mealworms himself. It's very cost effective and simple!

For anyone who grows fodder AND mealworms for their chickens, it's quick and easier to cut a little fodder grass and throw it in the mealworm colony for their moisture.

Mealworms are a wonderful source of protein for chickens. We give our chickens mealworms daily as a treat and as part of their diet during molt season. If you aren't inclined to grow your own and like the idea of responsibly raised mealworms check out our website.
