I have used Rooster Booster for four years. There is a scoop in the container that says "1/3 oz scoop enclosed. Use 1 scoop in 1 lb of feed." I have 36 hens. Have never had *knock on wood* any problems with worms in these ladies. I usually will wait until their large feeder is empty or very low. The next morning I take the portable feed containers (3) with the appropriate mixture in all three feeders. I have no problem at the end of the day with leftovers. I then fill their large feeder that night and the next day... all is well in Camelot. I worm them because then I know if they get sick with something, It probably isn't worms. They are in a coop and predator protected chicken yard about 80% of the year and let out in the spring and summer for several hours a day to forage and enjoy! Once the eagles and hawks have raised their young.... I don't worry quite so much. But, if you have wild birds visiting their coop or yard.... then you probably are being exposed to worms... Better safe than sorry. Their eggs do not have to be wasted and I don't have to stop the supply to my neighbors and my family.
