might mention also treat again for scaly let mites every 3 days a few times in a row. That is their life cycle if you want to get them all, without recurring.If the scales are from mites, just treat for mites (and lice) and they should be fine in a few days..... Vaseline scrubbed into/under the scales on the legs, use a lot, will smother the mites and soften/loosen the scales so they will fall off soon and the new scales will be pretty and nice... meanwhile treat the birds weekly with a powder like Sevin or poultry dust to get rid of any critters on the bodies. I would treat the silkie too. At least with the powders. I would keep them penned away from your flock until done with treatment and quarantine.
