ISO: Recipe for potatoes found @ chinese buffets

I LOVE the potatoes at the chinese buffet restaurants! I don't know what they call them, but they are peeled and sliced with a sweet/salty taste. Does anyone know how to make them? I am not good at just trying to figure it out myself.

Have you asked at those restaurants how they make them? A lot of times restaurants have no problem telling you, in general, how they are made or the ingredients involved.

No, I haven't asked. I am shy, lol! They are served hot with onions I think. Its been awhile since I've been there and I was thinking they sounded really good right now!
