Entries to Date for Fourth Annual Cream Legbar Club Online, Virtual Show

As of December 6, 2018:

Cream Legbars: 14 cockerels and 14 pullets
Golden Crele Legbars: 1 cock, 3 cockerels, and 2 pullets
White Legbars: 1 cockerel and 1 pullet

Your hens and cocks should be coming out of their annual molts and growing new feathers for the winter. Please get your pictures taken! The online show is open until December 22, 2018.

I know this isn't a super new thread but... I have Cream Legbars and this little cutie hatched yesterday. Are these sexable at hatch like the rest of the Legbars? This one appears to have no markings.

OK. And is that a white or will it turn to have markings? It's the first one to show up, in any of my hatches and I've sold eggs and none of the folks have said anything about getting a chick this color.

How many years have you had them?

Did you add a new bird recently?

Only Legbar in this run and only Legbar Roos on the property and I got them in Feb 2021
No new birds as I am getting set up for my Npip/AI inspection

In your legbars you have the recessive gene for white in a hen and rooster.

When they mate there is a one in four chance of a white offspring.

There is a 50% chance the offspring will carry the recessive gene.

The white chick will pass that gene to all of its offspring.

These are not “sports”. These are a true variety of Legbar. Two whites will breed true producing all white chicks.

The whites are a recognized variety by the Cream Legbar Club.

Consider yourself very lucky to have one. I have several and raised hundreds of them. They are a beautiful bird.

Could you tell me who you got your birds from? I shipped 2 white roosters to SC a few years ago.
