11/5/2016: I have a few mottled bantam cochins available, from Jamie Matts stock, if there is any interest. They are from a late fall 2014 hatch so are coming up on 2 years old. They are the nicest birds I hatched that year and I was holding them back to keep for myself, but decided I would like to go in a different direction with my breeding program. They are mid-molt right now and look pretty silly, so I am not including photographs of them. I will take some if they are still available when they finish molting and looking very nice with their fresh new feathers. When fully feathered the hens look very similar to this one I sold in May this year, and the cockerel to this one, but all have what I would consider slightly better type when fully feathered and overall look a bit wider. Faults are pale colored eyes, and more white than the standard calls for on the hens. Of the two year olds, I have one cock bird and three hens. I will sell a pair for $40, trio $60 or quad $80. I also have the mother of all these that I would be willing to sell separately for $20. She was purchased directly from Jamie Matts and is a few years older, but does still lay and I was getting fertile eggs from her over the summer. Pick up in Rockford, Michigan.
