"Radio Rooster"

The Radios all go back to one rooster that was of Kelso breeding. Supposedly a very talkative boy, that gave them the name for that particular line. The games can be less likely to show human aggression than even traditional breeds in some cases. Since they were originally bred to be handled a lot, most people culled very hard against human aggression. Never fully trusting any intact male livestock is a good rule to live by, however.

You might consider a Buckeye. I've been researching the breed as I want to integrate a few of them into my flock and have learned that Buckeye roosters tend to be more laid back and people friendly, good with the girls, and good with general flock watch.

I have a relative who fights roosters and he has used the term radio while talking about tipsters. Without a doubt its a fighting rooster. Dont put him with any other males. It will come out brutal.

I had a Barred rock rooster and a cuckoo maran rooster and they were both nasty. They would get my kids at any given chance. They even got me a couple times when my back was turned. and my boy was four, not a toddler. It actually got to the point that i would have my son grab a small stick and have him chase the rooster around and hit it so it would hopefully step his game down but it never worked. within a couple days he would get him again. My easter egger roosters and delaware rooster have all been pretty low key and non agressive. I also heard that cochin roosters are pretty chill.

In my opinion I think have in kid friendly rooster is one of the most important things. if a kid lost an eye you would feel horrible. And twice my roosters got my little girl (2 yrs old) in the shoulder so they can get high enough get kids.
