Bob Blosl is gone

RIP Bob Blosi
I never met him in person only spoken to him a few short times on this forum, but his wealth of information on Reds and chickens in general I know will be missed around this forum. From what I have read he sounded like a wonderful man in person as well. My heart truly goes to his wife, family and friends. This is my first time back on the forum in some time, I was really saddened to see this.

I am so sorry for the families and friends loss. Bob was helping me get back into Heritage breeds, and we spoke on PM's here since I joined last year.

I have a passion for the Barred Plymouth Rocks and Bob helped put me in touch with a breeder that I am currently on a waiting list for 10 of the Reese chicks...

I had been reading through the Heritage Thread from the beginning and for some reason, just clicked, for the first time in quite a while, to the last page, and learned this sad sad news! Bob was such an inspiration to me and helped me in so many ways!

Thank you Bob, for your kindness, knowledge, and patience with us all, may you rest in peace! You are and will be, sorely missed!

I read many of his posts and followed much of the advice he gave to all of us. Wow, it's really strange to miss someone I've never met but I certainly had so much respect for. All I raise are Heritage Breeds, RIR's & Light Brahmas and info on these beautiful birds was sketchy at best before I found his thread. I'm not the only one that will re-read much of what he wrote as often as I can. What a wonderful legacy to leave for the rest of us. So sorry for his family and my heart is saddened for all of them.. He touched so many lives with humor and grace.. Susie

My heart is broken.

I haven't talked to Bob in so long, but I had no idea he was gone. Life got in the way. Moving to a new state, marriage, new jobs, new child.....

Tonight I log on and see that one of my mentors has gone. I really have no words. Just a while back I found some old magazines he had sent me and was thinking it was about time to give him a call as he and Zora were supposed to stop for a visit his next trip. I just went and reread some of his emails and letters to me, the advise and the joking, the friendship, the research he had done on my Crohns disease....

He will be missed.
