It's been 5 months now and the happy couple are still going strong and hopefully getting ready to start having a family together. When are the goslings likely to hatch please if anyone can help!!!
Hi Sarniedaz, thanks for letting us know how it´s all going. I was only wondering about you last week. Do you see mating behaviour yet? The gander makes a lot of noise usually when they mate in the water. It´s unmistakable.
Does she already have a nest-site that you know of? Once she starts sitting you´ll hardly see her. Just like the swans, you´ll just see the male hanging around. Four weeks after she starts to sit tight they´ll hatch. She´ll stay in the nest with them for a day or so, then leave to take them to water and feed. She´ll go back to the nest site with them to rest and at night.
If, on the other hand they both are females, you´ll have to find where they´re laying so you can have goose egg omelettes for breakfast! Looking forward to hearing more news.

(p.s. it does look more like a gander than a goose, by the way.)
