USPS delivery problems

i just wondered if any one else is having trouble like i am. for the first time ever, i ordered some chicks. from frazier farms, 3 of them. i dont have a lot of money but i did save for these. the po guaranteed them express in one day. they did lose the chicks and i recieved them the next day but one had passed. the woman i ordered from told me she would send replacement . she did, five new ones. she felt bad for me and i think she went above and beyond . of course she will get her money back but five more? awesome! there is no way that could happen again right? wrong ! again the po loses them with even more dire consequences. out of five, only one lives. i contacted frazier farms and told her dont send anymore because surely we were just sending them to their death. so, she is refunding me all my money back without me asking for anything and i think that is very nice of her but in the meantime, what happened? the po states that it is broke and wanted to suspend saturday deliveries. is this why? i called them all night begging someone to look for my babies and make sure they were warm, still had food,ect.. and the first time a woman did open the box at my request and give water but the second time all i got was hung up on.i was up all night trying to track them down and got nowhere with the second delivery. the second box still had gro-jel in it and heat pads so, what happened?

Sorry about your chicks, glad the seller it refunding you the money. Were these day-old chicks? So they were shipped on ie Monday and you got them on Wednesday? What were the temperatures like on the route they took? Transit time really seems to depend on the route/sorting centers the birds go though, and it does not necessarily have much to do with distance, some sorting centers don't seem to be able to get anything out in time.
