I have a barred rock rooster which I just found out it was a rooster but his foot is swollen just one I didn't know it was to serious he acts fine I just wanna make sure it's nothing. And also the barred rock I thought it was a hen I have a Rhode Island Red rooster and 5 other hens will they end up killing eachother? I got him as a chick 4 months ago so I feel like that since my older rooster as know him for awhile they'll be fine. But my barred rock is getting way bigger than the other rooster

Check the bottom of his foot for injury or blister. See if you can find where the swelling is from. As for the roosters watch them closely for signs of agression toward one another. If they are fighting then you might need to seprate them. Hope this helps. Best wishes

I agree with the poster above, check the foot thoroughly for any signs indicating bumblefoot or other infections.

I have been successful keeping 2 roosters together with 2 hens, because the young rooster was raised in that pen. (The young one doesn't mate with the hens because it's the older rooster's business)

However, not all roosters will get along; even if they have been together since they were chicks. Do keep an eye on your roosters, just in case they do start fighting; then separate them if they are trouble.

The swelling may be from an injury, such as one sustained while fighting or jumping. Its also possible that a rock or something fell on his foot, or he got it caught somewhere.
