Here's what he had done to it yesterday I tried taping his toes putting baby socks on his feet etc nothing worked. I spent a longtime cleaning him back up yesterday but every time I get as much of the blood off as I can hes digging it back open but other than that he's alert and active and more than willing to gobble up his food.

What about a collar like you would use for a cat/dog to prevent scratching wounds. You could leave on during the day and remove at night, purchase from a vet or make your own.

Good idea. Maybe he is trying to scratch any pus out that is left,so you won't have to go cutting again, LOL. His poor little head looks pretty sore. Wonder if they make tiny football helmets for protection? Looks like he is chowing down on his food today, little sweetie.

I don't blame him if he is I don't wanna cut him again at all lol I'm going to try and make him something to keep his claws out of it... It'd be nice if they did make little helmets one of my boys has some little toy helmets I'm gonna see if they'd fit him lol if not I'm gonna try to make a collar. It was just a sunk in area when the swelling left then he scratched the wound open but he's still going strong he's followed me all over my living room and when I sit down he's at my legs trying to get in my lap he sure is a lil sweetheart :)

my cockerel got pecked in the eye and it was a little weepy so bathed it, but unfortunately couple days later his wattles were hot and he was laid out in his run looked dead, rushed him to vets and he had an infection, hes tough and pulled through. be aware though cause having his eye pecked out will possibly get infected as chickens beaks are pretty dirty. my silkie has problems walking as he has onlty one eye and often i have to go out and pick him up but hes lovelly and worth the TLC.
