I need some winter tips please help

I hear yah, and i live 20 minutes north of a city of 800000 (Winnipeg), both Calgary and Edmonton 2 cities 800 miles to the west each are about 1.2 million people, there 200 miles apart, and get this kinda scary cold weather too. Just think of Minneapolis weather, and it is worse here...

I think I would have to live in Vancouver if I were Canadian. :)

Yup, a carbon copy of Seattle's weather, too much rain for my liking. It is actually been cold there this week too, there normal daytime high is around 48, today its like 28, much milder than here. So is southern Ontario, Toronto can get some cold, but lots of winters really no snow, and not wicked cold .Interesting though my home province Manitoba is wicked cold, but we hold a lot of summer heat records, has high as well over 100, that blows north from, the US midwest

Is that a picture of where you live?

It looks nice when it is not covered with ice and snow. :)

Yup, farmland, tons of white tailed deer and many other critturs including wolves. it gets hot here in summer, nothing like Texas, but 80s and sometimes 90s in July and August. You gotta have AC in the houses here, believe it or not.
Great crops, this year bumper crops, wheat, soy beans, corn etc, home vegetable gardens were great too.
Winnipeg Beach on Lake Winnipeg 10th largest lake in the world is 15 minutes north of where i dwell.

Does anyone know what will happen if I let a broody hen sit on fertile eggs if the hatch at this time if year. I'm in Calgary. Well insulated coop, well vented and never heated it with anything other than the water deicer.
I am curious if they will survive.

Did the broody hen just start sitting?

The hen will keep the chicks warm. Just make sure there is feed available for the hen and chicks and I think they will be fine.
