I just saw a post about frost bite on a roosters comb and it brought me back to my very first winter with chickens and my introduction to this forum!
It was probably about 13 years ago now. My Japanese bantam rooster was starting to get frostbite and I was a nervous wreck on the verge of tears because I thought I was going to lose him! I didn't sign up right away, but found awesome information on the forum which got my rooster through his bout of frost bite to live many more years. Then in the spring, I wanted to try ordering chicks from a hatchery, so I signed up on BYC and made some amazing friends who I've kept in touch with all these years.
When I first joined I was just a kid in grade school. Now I'm in graduate school and I still have a love of chickens. I just can't believe how fast time has flown!
