This is one I would like to find out myself. I have an americauna that is 9 months old and she isnt even think of laying yet. All the rest of he girls started laying at about 20 to 25 weeks.
BSLs should lay around 5-6 months. EEs (similar to Ameraucanas) from my experience start around 6 months. It is not uncommon for them to take even longer.
Well, she may decide to wait and lay when spring gets here. I have hens that I've bought this spring as babies who still haven't layed any eggs yet, but they'll lay in the spring.
My 3 EE started laying at 16.5 W. They were hatched around 3/1. My RIR and BSL (hatched from RIR roo over PBR hen 2/21) started at 17 W. ~~ I think a lot depends on hatch date, the amount of protein they receive, as well as their breeding.
