Not only am I NOT good at depending upon my husband and son to care for the chickens, I've got a lot of plans that I need to be acting on now to keep us from getting overwhelmed as my recent hatches continue to mature....and I can't do a darn thing about it. I had finally reached the mental point of being ready to cull extra cockerels and hens, rearranging housing, etc. and instead I'm dead in the water.
Oh well....at least all of my spreadsheets look fantastic.
Here is my advice on getting through the next couple weeks...
1) Take a deep breath and accept what you can't help
2) Calmly sit your family down and explain that while some of the things you ask of them may not be important to them, they are important to you so please keep that in mind. Then remind them that if Mamma's not happy... they better
3) MILK IT FOR ALL IT"S WORTH!!! Think staycation.
Seriously though, I feel for you, I don't like being dependent either. Best wishes.
