Barnie is male id say comb is too red and neck feathers look sharp shaped suggesting male - My barnie girl still hasnt that amount of red and she is 12 weeks

Barnie was getting it from Platinum and that's why we sent the poor big fella (actually happy fella, we miss him more I imagine) to stud with our friend. Also, I think Barnie was clucking today. The speckled, however seems to have started making the same drawn out squawk that made me suspect Wyandotte of being a rooster before checking for ink brush tips on his saddle feathers.

I am concerned about that now... Sigh.. Does it mean the ordinary girl looking sussex is in fact a boy ?

Lol it seems to me we all offer an opinion but the only true way to know is wait for an egg or a crow! My barnie girl was obvious against her brother.

Been two years since, but Barnie is a definite girrllrllrl.

I do have one Blue D'Uccle that tries to crow occasionally too :o)
