Has anyone incubated a chick in a dish? If so how long did it last and what's the success rate of it actually making it to day 21 and will it survive?

I have an egg a egg in the incubator but it's not in a shell. I've read as experiments they can grow but want to know if they make it to day 21 do you just uncover the bowl?

I had a chick grow in a cup. It got to day 7. It was uncovered and bacteria probably got it. It's very unlikely it will make it to day 21. I've researched it over and over but it hasn't worked for me!

Here's my progress so far

I took a bowl and put plastic wrap in it and put a rubber band on it. The plastic wrap should dip down in the bowl far enough so you can cover it. I then cracked the egg in it and made sure the bullseye was on top then covered it with plastic wrap and taped it around edge then put it in a incubator at normal settings for an egg. I haven't read anywhere where they last anymore than 16 days but we will see.
