Concrete duck pond construction

I am happy that my parents gave me the land to build my aviary on. I breed chickens and pheasent and a smal amounts of ducks but I had to pay for the aviary and the pond the man houses and I will have to pay ducks. I am 16 years old I have been doing this hobby for 6 years but I earn money with it.

What are you going to put around the area after you finish? are you going to leave it like it is, only thing I would be concerned about is if your ornamantals are as messy as domestics they will have the pond a mud pit lol. I'd consider some kind of sod or pea gravel with sand underneath just to keep the mud down.
 
I will plant gras again as soon as I can most likely 2 months from now. I will plant pampas gras and other things.
 
we just got finished putting netting over the top of our chicken yard and what a pain in the rear that is, but now it's up so we are done with it now no worries about something getting them out in the yard with that on the top and hot wire around the bottom and the chickens are shut up at night.. sooooo they should be safe LOL
