Here it is folks.
The sign up sheet for your culinary creations.

We can chat about what dishes that we are bringing and I'll keep a master list at https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/michigan-chicken-stock-2014-pot-luck-food-sign-up which will be edited and updated with who is bringing what.

If you are not sure what you want to bring, you can check the list and see what is already there. We don't really need 30 crocks of baked beans. Right?

It will also help you to plan for what you want to bring. Some people are coming from pretty far and need to plan for transporting the food safely. No one wants to spill baked beans on the back seat.

There are a few electrical outlets in the pavilion so let me know if you need one. Sign up here or PM me with your special dish

So let the feasting commence!

Might be a good idea to split the list up into appetizers, main dish, salads, desserts, etc. - so that we don't have too much of one type. Just a suggestion.

I'll again be bringing hot dogs & buns - and my Mister will be grilling them. HOWEVER - if someone will please bring charcoal and lighter fluid, that would be great. I'll also bring ketchup & mustard & relish.

Folks, Dr. Fulton of MSU will be speaking at our Chickenstock this year -

https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/848718/dr-richard-fulton-to-speak-at-michigan-chickenstock-2014

IMPORTANT IN REGARD TO FOOD - Dr. Fulton will be bringing a projector and slides for his talk on poultry diseases; he will need a place that's dark enough to see slides, and I believe the only place that will work will be at the very back of the pavillion. I'm mentioning it here so that we can plan in regard to which tables we'll use for the potluck. I think we should plan on moving a few picnic tables toward the back of the pavilion if possible for folks to sit at and for Dr. Fulton to be able to show his slides. Thoughts?

I will bring a slow cooker of homemade parsley creamed corn w/bacon. Do I need to bring an extension cord or anything for a slow cooker?
It would be a good idea.

Please label your dishes, utensils, cords and any other thing that you want to keep.

We will bring a cold garden veggie pasta salad with oil type dressing. should keep pretty good. Salad and/or main dish category :)

Mac salad?
Unless there is something else others prefer I bring...
I just read the list of food items. I noticed there is a place for "real names" I have met some people on here, and others I've communicated with outside of BYC, but please do not use my real name if you know it. We are having ongoing issues with our elected officials where my and my family's safety has been jeopardized because we own chickens against ordinance. Being that this is a public forum, my identity on here could have real consequences.
Thank you,
RTFchickens
