26 turkeys I've been wintering over this year, so far they are all looking good, I am striving for longevity and a flock that can adjust to the hot & cold temps we get here in NH, so this winter has been a good test of cold hardiness.
I have Midget whites, Narragansetts, and Jersey Buff turkeys, considering adding some Bronzes to the group this coming season, am I crazy

Which breed do you find handles the extreme cold the best? We're at 9,200ft in the Rockies and we have a very long, cold winter up here.

Not sure what state your in,here right now it is snowing again. I have Sweetgrass,RioGrande,Eastern and Palms. They all have seen some pretty wicked weather over the years and seem to handle it much better than I do. -30,deep snow, blowing snow and 50 mph winds seemed to have no effect on them.

Once turkeys are past the 6 to 8 week stage they are tough weather resistant birds, they seem to thrive on the cold weather, my group range outside every day of the year
during the very hot & very cold weather, rain, snow...etc.
