Does anyone raise mourning doves?

I have been looking for Mourning doves for 2 yrs now, turns out I can keep them with my Migratory waterfowl permit. Dunno why, but all native north american doves and pigeons are on the list of birds allowed to be kept under that permit.

Having the permit doesn't mean you will find anyone who keeps them....
 
"Mine" show up at my bird feeder on a regular basis and scoff more seed than any rooster I've ever owned. I love the sound their wings make when they fly off.

My mom calls them "henbottoms" because of their amusing, henlike walk.
