Well, the temperature today got up to a balmy 30º (No, that's warm for us when it's been -5º) so now our 3 foot snow drifts are melting. Meeellltiiing. (Sorry. My Disney addiction got in there.) Now our whole yard has 4 inch deep puddles. Our ducks and geese are LOVING it!

However, the high for tomorrow is 17º.

Let me do the math.

4 inch deep puddles + 17º = sore butts. Our whole yard will be a skating rink!! Ah, the joys of farm life.

So what are your weather woes?

Similar. It's rained all day and in the 40s but the ground is frozen so it isn't draining, Down into the teens tonight with sleet, ice and snow. Back down to zero by the end of the week and only one day with a high of 33.

You may send me the cold weather if you wish, I'll take it!

Thought I would upload some pictures from out latest ice storm!

The ice coated the whole van, and we couldn't open the door

The icicles reached up to a foot and a half long!

The day after the storm, the temperature reached up above freezing so all of the ice melted of the trees. It sounded like guns firing, then a bit after, the little bits of ice started falling off, and it sounded like a bonfire, with all of the snapping, and crackling!

Here you can really see the ice. The rust shows the end of the goat statue, and the rest is all ice.

This is a dog leash that we hooked on the fence.

You can see here how heavy the ice was. Normally it reached up to the top window!

There was probably half an inch of ice coating EVERYTHING. Including each individual blade of hay.

How beautiful to look at, but I'm sure not too much fun to live in, and take care of animals in. Thank you for posting these pics.

Everything was extremely slick. I think that I would MUCH prefer just looking at my pictures. :) The animals weren't to happy about it either.

My daughter just went over to study @ a friends house, it's just down the road, but the roads are all snowy and frozen..so I am nervous. My husband went to meet his nephew and family at a restaurant (hubby can't eat there do to diet restrictions) so I didn't go..so I am nervous about him too.
