Help! Chickens dying!

Here is a picture of worms my chicken had are thought to be cecal worms. These were not much bigger than about a 1/2 inch. There is no way to see these in their poop. This was by accident I came across these worms as my chicken was sick and I was putting her poop in the toilet.

.
X2! Most people won't see those unless they look really, really close, even then, cecal worms are hard to see.

... they have a kiddy pool in the coop that they drink out of, and often they like to eat the scum and other things left in the bottom, thank you everyone who has replied, hopefully I can get the issue resolved quickly.

The scum and other debris at the bottom of the pool could be what is making them sick. It would be perfect for bacteria to grow, or even giardia http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giardia_lamblia. We have to keep our waterers clean, and containers that collect water in the summer especially. Dog and feral cats used to drink from a wading pool until we figured out they were sick from the giardia and some of the ferals died. Now with the chickens we made sure it was cleaned out so they couldn't eat any debris or drink the bad water.

I'm not positive, but I think chickens and waterfowl don't usually have problems with giardia the way cats, dogs and people do.

For awhile now there haven't been anymore birds getting sick, three days ago my hen Rosie was just fine, but since then she's had a drastic weight loss and has become slightly lethargic. Right now i'm keeping her near me so I can watch her closely over the day and make sure she eats and drinks.

You haven't answered many questions in this thead. Are any paralyzed? Have you wormed anyone? I think coccidiosis could very well be a problem here. I would give a 5 day course of Corid (amprollium) so you don't lose any more chickens. By the way, all chickens have worms--many are so small you can't see them, and you won't always see round worms in the poo, even though they're there.

none of them are paralyzed, they've not been wormed. I did have problems with Coccidiosis once but only one chicken died, and that was two years ago when I got my first batch of babies. I'll look into treating them for anything they could have, its just not making any sense.
