i found out a neat trick to use with chickens

when the snow melts just let them into your Vege garden for a few days and they will completely d-weed your garden. works like a charm

and your chickens will like it too

You put them in the garden before you plant the veggies. They'll eat any newly sprouted weeds, and do a bit of soil prep for you before you plant.

i always do it because i HATE

I put my chickens out in the garden each fall and early spring. We have crabgrass really bad here, and it's a pain to pull up. The chickens are really good at tearing it up! And they unearth any bugs that are trying to hibernate under the soil. My bug population was way down last year thanks to my girls!

Same here. During the growing my runner ducks live in the garden to eat the bugs and not the all veggies.(unlike my chickens eating everything in the garden)

It should just clip the wing so no one flys over the fence. Muscovies love to eat bugs that fly.
