I read through your posts and decided to order from chickensforbackyards.com, my chicks arrive at the beginning of February. I hope to refresh this thread for people who may be considering ordering from them. MissJess, are you still happy with your chickens from them? Your pictures sure were fun to look through!

I had a great experience with chickensforbackyards.com only 1 of my babies didn't make the trip.

they are all nearly 1 month old now & doing awesome & moved into their own home just recently.

Just be sure they get plenty of water (preferably with vitamins & electrolytes) as soon as you get

them to help them over come the shipping stresses. They'll do great!  :woot

BOY DO I FEEL DUMB! Just noticed this thread started last year.

guess I should have kept reading.

Glad your flock is doing great! BTW, I ordered all Plymouth barred because of my grandchildren

they're awesome!

Thank you for this thread and the great pics of your flock growing up. I wanted to read about folks' experience with chickensforbackyards.com. I'm happy your chicken journey went well.

I personally don't think they should charge your credit card till they have the birds to ship. I have been getting this runaround for a couple of weeks. The website said they were available on the 13th, once I ordered and they had money money, they emailed me and said they wouldn't be available till the 20th. Now they are telling me they won't have any till the 27th, and I couldn't swap out for another breed because they simply had none to sell me. How on earth can you publish a website saying you have all these breeds of chickens and have none in stock to ship customers. NONE, no breeds of any kind!
