Duck is mating with Chicken????????

Ok I posted a while back that my drake was chasing my silkie Rosster. Well we spilt them up! now the same drake is seriously mating with my  chicken! He was on top of her doing the deed. He has three of his own females why is he doing this!!!! Help!!!!

You need to split your ducks and chickens up ASAP. Ducks can kill chickens by mating with them. If he has his own girls and he's still doing this he's unlikely to stop. Sounds like your rooster was protecting his hens from the drake.

I hope your hen is OK.  Please don't put this guy with your chickens because ducks can kill a hen by mating.  Hens aren't made to take in a duck's penis.  Some drakes just want to mate with everything they can.  Not all drakes are like that, but this guy is one of those that has a problem.

Yes, i echo the rest time for some living arrangement changes. While not all drakes will mate with chickens some definitely do, the fact he has ducks of his own should decrease the risk but no guarantees as you have experienced, chickens and ducks are not compatible(mating wise) so their is significant danger to your hen, worse case scenario being death.
