I'm in the Northeast as well, and placed my order in January when I read that chick's sell out quickly! I wanted to be sure I got the breeds I wanted as well as set our chick's up for success when the cold weather arrives.

I ordered end of January and still missed out on some of the ones I wanted. Wanted to get them here early in the season so they had time to grow up and get established before the weather turns bad again. Girls will be here May 8th and even though it's early on in the season still already most of the good breeds are sold out through to August already. Want to maybe try for some of the rare colored orpingtons next year might have to order in November or December lol.

I got my first hens this year from them. Not a lot but I dont need a lot. Four birds of four different breeds- gold laced wyandotte, buff orpington, black australorp, and barred rock. All of them are doing great and just started laying today. Also had a really positive experience with them when i bought. I was looking for birds that are good with kids and these have been great. The wyandotte is a bit of a jerk but the barred rock is a favorite- she likes to be petted and does a little dance to show that she wants a pet. Super sweet. I’ll definitely be going back.
