2014 March Coop Challenge

Okay, I am done! What? It isn't March anymore? I thought I would get it done last month, but we put in pasture fencing and build a run in instead.
Here is my DH finishing up the roof--

The front--

the back---

the water bucket with the awesome horizontal nipples and the roosting boxes with pdz

the bucket feeder--

the auto door opener! --

I modified the Daisy coop plan a little to fit my needs. The run is small, but they are in my fenced in back yard where they will range most of the time except when I am not here. And when I can keep on eye on them, I have 50 acres for them to roam.

This is a BEAUTIFUL coop and run! I'm itching to make ANOTHER already and I just finished mine on the 13th lol!

We still have to find some sort of outside paneling or siding but I'm super happy. It took my family two days to build this nice big coop. We only bought about 10 2x4s and 8 sheets of inside plywood. Nesting boxes are an old kitchen cabinet and a few milk creates. The roost I recycled out of my moms old coop. The tin roofing came off of an old lumber mill shed. This weekend we'll add an inside boxes off corner for an inside brooder.
