Wasn't sure where to put this but parents said yes to chickens :)

That's awesome! I'm glad it went well for you, now all you have to do is wait for the call. :p It's always nice when you can be informal with your employers. At this volunteer job that I do (weirdly formal for a volunteer job, there are uniforms and insurance, the whole nine yards) work pretty much ceases for an hour mid-morning and everyone shares their food around. lol.

Strawberries sound cool. It would be nice if we had some fruit shrubs and the like, but that kind of stuff doesn't grow well round here. They pretty much just die in the summer. Even if we pour buckets of water onto the garden in the morning, there won't be any left in the ground by lunchtime and we usually don't get home until late.

The smog is not so nice in Beijing. When I went there were only one or two days of it though, and it was perfectly fine as long as one didn't go outdoors for more than a few minutes  I have to say I still liked the city better than the country though, the the villages were minute (definitely not as interesting :p) and living conditions didn't look so brilliant. It's not like here or America, where living out in the country is a choice that a lot of people make, because of there being more space and cleaner air. In China a lot of country dwellers can't afford to move to the city, where it's more desirable to be for employment opportunities. (Of course there are exceptions in both cases, but in general it's like that as we're at different stages in development, lol)

Lol sounds nice.

And aww that stinks :(

Hahah yeah exactly! But ohhhh that makes sense. Here I wanna go to the country so I can have my mini farm lol I could have it on less acreage but I want the animals to be happy.
