Giant White Leghorn

I have two California White Leghorns. Since I'm new to all of this I'm trying to under as much as possible. They are the same size as the Rhode Island Reds and the Barred Rocks.
How would I know if they were Cornish X and,... what does "X" mean?
 
The X stands for cross. Cornish x are a meat bird that mature very rapidly.Generally they grow at an alarming rate and ready for butcher at around 8 weeks. It is usually obvious if you have Cornish cross. Google comparison of the two and you will see a huge difference.
