seen a few in thrift stores that ive been tempted to just to test one. I know other people have used them as ive seen something like that on you-tube.
DIY automatic Humidity apparatus? - Page 3
I have been able to maintain 30-40% so far with the sponge but my bator is small and I am running out of surface area so I am a little worried about keeping it high enough during lockdown.

This is what I did with a fogger last week or a tad later. I bought one of those $10 foggers off of amazon with the lights so I know that it is on. I wired an outlet to a WH8040 to set the humidity so I can plug it in when needed. It worked great and had perfect humidity. If I wanted 75% humidity it would increase it in as little as 10-15 minutes from 60% humidity.
Good luck with the lockdown. I ended up cutting the lid wide enough that the fogger sat in the middle of the container and the lid kept the splash/splatter from going out of the container. It worked great. I moved the fogger above the chicks as you can see in this pic and had to put a tray over the tub to divert the air flow. In this incubator the air flow comes from the bottom. I am working on making a different incubator and am using the lid and container for this one. I marked two lines on the container. The bottom line is about an inch above the fogger so i can tell when it is getting too low and the top line is the highest that I can add water and it still putting tons of fog out. I just used a air line from a fish tank to put water in there when needed during lock down.
