Cabin fever? Or just mean people?

Every time I have read some threads throughout the week someone is telling someone else their opinions or the way they do things is wrong. Everyone has their own opinion and do things the way they see fit. We come here to seek advice of people who are more experienced. It definitely scares some newbies away when everyone starts bickering. I have taken advice from a lot of different members and have had very satisfying results. Can everyone just relax, take a breath and get along? Spring is almost here and everyone will feel better soon.
 
I think its more just the nature of the online forums. This one is by far the best though. I've been on other forums where the members will viciously attack another member. The mods here do a good job keeping everyone civil.

It is nice to remind people sometimes that everyone has different opinions, and just because its different, doesn't mean its wrong.

It's sad though when there is a question asked and after a few pages of bickering the original OP hasn't even returned. I hope it didn't scare them off.
 
Once upon a time I was trying to help my sister over a rough time and, convinced that I was right and knew best, I said something to her that offended her and hurt her feelings. I felt terrible, and I went to my dad and told him what I'd done. Well said, Lauren. oldrooster and Blooie are also 'right on the money'.
 
There is always more then one right way to do something. There is also somethings that are right in one area and not in another. Example is OSB plywood is great to make a chicken coop in a dry area like I have, but I would never use it in an area like Oregon, or Washington. My watering system is great for me, but it would be a nightmare in freezing weather.
