worked most the day yesterday getting ready for the swap. fighting with mom because it seems like she wants to keep them all. wish granted ! took her to dr. for a simple blood draw and she is now admitted to the hospital. i have all these buggers in cages ready to go, added the little ones i planned on keeping to their new home. now what am i going to do with them? every one else is settled and no more swaps around here till mothers day. 25 babies and no home.

thanks, im really bummed. i still have to go up there but not set up. i have all these chickens caged up . i dont know what to do. she told me to do what i wanted about it. they have found blood clots in her legs and lungs. guess thats why she was having such a hard time breathing.

oh, thank you. the thing is she has bleeding varices so treatment for clots is blood thinner and she is already really low on blood.

i got to go to the swap today for 3 hrs. !! sold every one of them in that time. 25 in all, of course at the end of my time they were dramatically reduced but i didnt bring any home. they were going like hot cakes. someone even went in tsc and bought a pre-fab so they could get some of mine. i even found a home for the 2 scissor beaks. i gave them to a good home. i had one silkie left and two men were trying to out bid each other. i told them this wasnt an auction. i had to give it to the one that asked first for my asking price. lol

Outstanding, Granny! I didn't get to make it - we went to town about 10 to get some lumber at Lowes and my mean husband went the back way there and back so we never even passed by the front of TSC......is the next swap you mentioned before (Mother's Day) here in town or elsewhere? I think I may have a better idea just who is who in my little flock and be ready to rid myself of any roos (and, of course, pick up at least as many replacements of the right gender

too bad. the next swap is a good one. it is the weekend of mothers day. i dont know what its called but as soon as you cross the milton/madison bridge hand a left and its down the first road. its gravel. i think it is a park. there is a 20 dollar charge to set up there. no entrance fee for looking.
