Just sayin about deer meat: My half brother in Mi broke his back in a car accident., He had an unexplainable recovery. S#!t you not, the surgeon at U of M attributed the healing substantially to his diet of deer meat and fresh veggies, the free cheese the county gave out. Can't prove it, but I heard the surgeon say it.
to bad "she's" dry next appointment maybe a visit to the bull or ai ???
LMAO NO I DON"T and Star was her registered name back in 2009
It's Tuesday! That's mean update on Ben!
I took him out to the yard with a bag of treats. The birds were all safely locked away. He knew I had the treats, and responded well when I said "leave it!" I gave the command when he would get still, ears up, and zone in. Y'all know what I mean. He came straight back and sat at my feet almost every time. Progress is progress!
And now for pics!
Check out that body condition!
Don't they look just like long lost best friends??
Edit: I know he needs more work before he's to be trusted around chickens, but I was afraid that he was learning to bump my fist when I said leave it, not avoid the thing I was talking about. So now I know the concept is there. I'm not totally sure how to proceed because he's not trying to get the bait treats anymore. Do I have to drop a fresh one each time? After the first time I tell him to leave it, he doesn't bother it anymore.
Don't shup at all! If I didn't want suggestions, then I wouldn't ask. I value the experience that everyone has, and it's so nice to ask and get answers instead of constant googling!
Now, questions: lead means the 15 ft training leads? All my leashes are 4ft.
Ignoring a moving object is going to be so hard with his duck training. That will be really good. He already makes eye contact all the time, like constantly.
I thought about using the mouthful of feathers that he brought me as the bait object, or taking him to where they all are in the woods. The things he didn't ignore today when I said "leave it" were a pile of possum bones and the tires on the chicken tractor.
He's such a big dope and had that big doofy grin when he brought me those feather. He was so confused. And he's being really squirrelly tonight... he marked twice in the house and kept jumping on top of the kennel instead of going in.
Anyway... I need to get replacement batteries for our shock collar. It's pretty old. The previous owner said that Ben knew when he was wearing it, so that should be easy. He's a smart boy.
York. You have not lived. Trust Red and I., Bananna mayo salads with nuts. PB added s yummers! I use olive oil mayo. some prefer the tang of miracle whip. So tasty!
Twist, Megan is checking to see if pay pal can be hooked up to one of those prepaid cards you can buy at Walmart. I refuse to hook mine up to my checking account. To open another account just for PayPal will cost me $11 per month for service fees.
The Walmart card will cost me
Well I think I have an account now but not sure I did link to a credit card and saw no mention of monthly fees but haven't tried to use it either.
PayPal is the only way I will purchase things online. You have double security that way.
