Ok bare with me again, new egg picture from today's lay. I have newly been feeding fermented feed (last couple of weeks). Its supposed to save you money on feed, not 100% certain if it does. Maybe I am feeding them too much or they are just pigs lol. Its also supposed to be healthier, twice the nutrients & larger eggs & egg yokes.
I can attest to the larger yokes & eggs size increase. Here once again is my picture from this morning with a Silkie egg added to the far right. Each egg has been weighed for egg size based on an egg chart. The egg to the left is just way beyond Jumbo, the middle egg is more round than long, but weighs in at an XL. The Silkie egg on the right that looks almost as long as the middle egg is a whopping size small. Now the hen that layed that Silkie egg is at the most 1-1/2 pounds, she's just a dinking thing. So I guess I can say without a doubt that fermented feed is contributing to increased egg sizes.
