Awesome, they are a great bunch on the baking thread. Blooie cracks me up!! Sun flour and nflock. All so nice. They make competition fun!!

Hi everybody, thought I better chat for a couple of minutes while I can, lol. I'm also supposed to pass on from Mutt that she loves & misses everybody. She got really sick with the gunk going around & ended up with a bad lung infection. She is slowly getting better, but super busy with Pops. He came home last Friday & between fixing him 3 meals a day, he also needs help with everything else. She is hoping that in another 2 weeks he will be able to do for himself.

@campingshaws Very cute goats you got their camping. Have you & hubby decided if you are keeping them for a while or will you be selling them soon? Probably easier on you guys if it was sooner then later. Unless of course if you decide you want male goats.
Has anyone heard from Newfie or Jane lately? Wondering how Newfies black chicks are doing? And how Jane is doing.
@lindalouly Linda, when do you get the quail eggs to incubate?
@granny hatchet Granny, I did like Bert was saying about candling a large number of eggs. I would take 3 egg carton & set them by the incubator, then I would pull out 12 eggs & put them in the egg carton, then I would candle those 12. When those were done I would remove another 12 eggs and put them in the 2nd carton. Only then would I put the first 12 that had been candled back in. Making sure to place those in the location you removed the second set from. This mixes them up & into a new location. I use the 3rd carton to place an egg in after I candle it or I forget where I left off, lol. That way when the 3rd carton is full you know its time to pull 12 more eggs, then return the other 12 into their location. When candling a large number of eggs I did it on day 7 & day 18. On day 14 I would only check a couple to make sure the air cells are where they should be.
