that chicken is tender already. I thought it took hrs .? its falling off the bone and very tasty . guess i will go finish it up. Im hungry as usual .

I could go off on a whole political rant but...we'll save that for the Great Depression thread I guess.

oh, I dont think my mind is all together today. yes, it is terrible and i know people that has done it too. some have to just to survive. I have know this for years but i take my promises seriously. I will never promise you anything i dont intend to keep. Of course sometimes its hard to get a promise from me.

Anyone know any kind of weed killer that's safe for use around chickens? I have a heck of a "goat head" problem - the grounds too hard that ripping them up doesn't work since I can't get to the roots...(even with my little diggy tool) and I'm honestly contemplating finding myself some napalm lol.

And they're a weed with nasty icky burrs that get stuck in dog's paws and my runners. Hence the napalm. Lol.

Those are terrible weeds and the burrs can pop a bike tire. I haven't heard of any weed killer safe around chickens. Maybe you could get a goat! No, you can't. They get very lonely. You'd have to get 2!

There are terrible fires in northern California, luckily not too near us. Last night the wind shifted and our little valley filled with smoke.

Supposed to be hot as Hades next couple of days too, but it won't bother me because our outside thermometer broke so I won't know how bad it is.
