Sewandgrow's Second "Almost" Annual Friends of a Feather Poultry Party Turlock, CA May 18, 2014

I completely understand where you are at, Karen. I went hatch crazy this year and hatched out way too many chicks. Now I need to sell them because they are costing way too much to feed let alone the work to take care of them. I spent some time talking with my friend at the farm and we've decided to narrow our breeds down to BBS Langshan, Pita Pinta, and Silver Penciled Plymouth Rock. I love the Rhode Island Red pair we have but they sure aren't very productive or fertile. I think that I only hatched out 5 of their chicks this spring/summer and out of those only 1 was a pullet. They may be moved to the field with the Langshan while I decide for sure what I want to do with them.
