He has to be a cross with feathered legs. NHR nor RIR have feathered legs.

I think he is mixed with brahma considering his size.

I'm going to have to agree with those who say that it's a RIR/ Brahma cross.  He's huge, has that comb that isn't single and isn't pea and has feathered feet.  32 inches is an incredibly tall rooster! ep

What is NHR? Considering he was squatting a bit when I was trying to measure him he may be taller. I still haven't been able to weigh him but when I pick him up it's like picking up a bag of feed! He's starting to look tasty, he's rock solid lol!

New Hampshire Red

They're orangey colored with black in the tail when compared to a Rhode Island Red.

He most definitely has a lot of orange in him!

OMG!!  That thing looks huge.  Do you have any other pics of him (to  maybe put his size into perspective)?  How old is he?  Did you hatch him from your eggs?  Do you have any idea of what crosses he may be based on where the eggs came from?

I kinda think brahma like most here but I am also thinking some kind of game bird like a Malay or Saipan mix.  He is definatley cool to look at.

I agree with the others who suggest he is a RIR crossed with some feather-footed breed, probably one with a rose comb.  Are his tail feathers a greenish color?

By the way, I think he's an awesome rooster!

I'd say he definately has RIR in him, and Brahma cross makes sense with those legs.

RIR's can get quite big.
Heres My RIR along with my BO, who isn't small either, you can use the chicken wire for scale.

With the feet? I don't think NHRs have feather feet...

He looks identical to my NHR with the chestnut color... except for the leggings!
