YAY!! I actually get to post a FINISHED (give or take a couple very minor details) coop for the April Challenge, which I was really hoping to post for March, but regardless, I'm celebrating and here it is! We are calling it The Blakley Bird Bungalow ;-)

Over the next week or two I will be adding some cute little finishes to personalize it :)

Thank you FluffyPuff for making a challenge for April :)

Just held the Grand Opening for Motel Chix! I'm really pleased with it, even if hubby and I did have a little missed communication on dimensions. We both wanted 6'x8', but when I blended the plans each of us drew up to get one plan that we both liked, I put an extra mention of the 6'x8' on the plans, and it looked like that's how I wanted the roof. Well, I DID tell him I wanted to be able to walk in it - so it's 6'x8' where it should be, but then it has a roof that is 8 feet tall at the front and 6 feet tall at the back as well. Should shed snow pretty well!

I still can't stop smiling every time I look at it! I put the girls in it for the first time on Sunday and got a few pics, nothing great, but it was so fun watching them check it out and see what that new place was :) I'll try to post my pics of them in it later. I want to put them in it full time SO bad, but my youngest girl still has to finish feathering and I didn't want to split them up so I'm hoping next weekend will be the day I can get them out of that dang brooder!! :)
